Packaging - What to Consider
When you meet with the team at Litho Superpak, you’ll consult with our experts to find the best solution to fit your product and its needs. We ask you to think both in and ‘outside the box’, literally, encouraging our clients to think inventively about their design and artwork. Some things to consider are:
What is your product?
Greasy, oily, hot, frozen, fragile or heavy?
What packaging style would suit it best?
Sleeve? Carton box; straight line, tuck in top and bottom or crash lock with tuck in top?
What is your product’s purpose and how does it interact with its packaging?
Direct contact food product? Does it need a separate lid or a tuck in lid? Is it sealed or need tamper evident closures? Will it be opened once or serval times? Is it for immediate disposal?
How will the product be presented for point of sale?
Displayed on supermarket shelves? Windows in packaging to view product inside? Stacked on palettes?
How will the packaging be put together?
Machine erected? Packed and erected by hand?
How will it be handled for point of sale?
Stacked on palettes? Displayed on supermarket shelves? Mailed?
Where is the product likely to be stored?
Fridge or Freezer? Handbag? Damp garden shed?
